Zentangle ties are completed with Pigma Micron pens, and erasers are not used because there are no "mistakes." There are "unintended marks," and students are taught to embrace them and work those into their designs. It's very uplifting and relaxing. Completed tiles often look very complex, but all the designs are created following a series of basic steps. So, those studying the Zentangle method quickly are able to pick up the skills necessary to create an impressive tile.
