A Letter From the Owners
Our journey in home care began quite a few years ago. Donna’s grandfather passed away and her grandmother became unable to navigate the health care system and live on her own in Florida. We did our research and convinced her to move to North Carolina where we could be nearby and enjoy daily visits.
We found a wonderful independent community and set up her apartment. However, almost as soon as she arrived in Winston-Salem, she was admitted to the hospital for an untreated medical condition. We nearly lost her. After six weeks, she came home and we settled into a nice routine. We enjoyed having our family together.
During the following 2 years, our grandmother’s health continued to decline to the point where we could no longer care for her on our own. We felt overwhelmed and even guilty. Our other responsibilities made it impossible to spend more time caring for her. We called a home care agency and they helped us give her the care she deserved. She eventually needed 24/7 care and then Hospice. With the help of Home Care, our grandmother was able to continue living in her own home until her final days.
When the ComForCare Home Care agency in Winston-Salem became available, we knew that it was the perfect opportunity for us. We want to make life better for the many individuals and families in our community who need help caring for those they love.
You have our commitment that we will provide the same focus on caring for those that you love as we did for our grandmother. All of us, from our certified CNA caregivers to our office staff, are here with caring hearts.
Please call us anytime. We are always happy to answer your questions and look forward to meeting you.
