Meet Our Team

At ComForCare Home Care in Austin, Texas, we know that to provide quality in-home care services to the families we work with, we must hire the most qualified individuals. At ComForCare, we take great pride in the caregivers we select. In order to select the most qualified caregivers, ComForCare has a rigorous 10-step hiring process to ensure that applicants meet all of our standards for excellence.

ComForCare caregivers are not only trained on client-specific conditions, but they also receive ongoing education to stay up-to-date on home care best practices. Additionally, ComForCare has innovative programs in place such as DementiaWise®, which teaches caregivers how to effectively care for those living with dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease.

Our caregivers at ComForCare Austin are available for as little as a few hours a week to up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are happy to have each of these caring individuals as part of home care family:

Brad Massey - Co-Owner and Administrator

While the office was founded in 2006, Brad and Mary purchased the agency in 2014. Brad spent 20 years in the corporate world followed by 10 years consulting with Fortune 500 firms. Brad currently lives in western Travis County, Texas. He has three adult children, one grandson and two labradors. His experience in providing a safe environment for Mary's mom, who suffered from vascular dementia, was the catalyst that drove him to establish a high-quality, reliable home care agency. When asked what makes ComForCare different than other agencies, he said, "The face of our business is the caregiver employee. We know we have it right when our clients feel safe and happy when our team member walks through the door."

Mary Massey - Co-Owner, Alternate Administrator and Caregiver Manager

Mary was homemaker and preschool teacher before joining the family business. Mary became a full-time family caretaker after her mother's dementia progressed. Mary learned first-hand the toll that being a full-time live-in caregiver takes on the family member. She works with families and employees to ensure that the ComForCare service model is providing the best possible care for our clients.

Gina Brookshire - Scheduling Coordinator

Gina Brookshire joined the ComForCare team in August of 2016 as the Scheduling Coordinator. She has since added billing, payroll and office management to her job description. Gina has been a licensed social worker and psychologist for 25 years and uses her past experience when working with clients and caregivers. When she is not working at the office, she spends her free time with her four children and stays very active in the Lakeway, Texas community where she currently resides.

Tamika Brown - Caregiver Supervisor

With over 12 years in the medical field, she is passionate about upholding integrity, dignity and pride with passion by always going the extra mile for others. She worked in the Alzheimer's lock-down unite and hospice care unit. She found he experiences in these positions personally fulfilling, which enabled her to provide compassionate care with the goal of improving the quality of life for all residents. After serving three years in the nursing home setting, she joined the home health industry in November 2010 with a greater focus in reassuring every client and their family that their care was her first concern. When she's not caring for our clients, she spends time with her family. She is a mother of three and has one granddaughter. She is currently working towards her education and pursuing a degree (Bachelor of Science Registered Nurse).

Sue Anderson - Office Manager

Sue began working at ComForCare Austin as our Office Manager in 2013. Prior to working at ComForCare Austin, she worked as a Preschool Director for over 20 years. She has a degree in Early Education. She enjoys working at ComForCare because her experience with our home care agency allowed her to realized what necessity this type of company is and what an integral part it plays in helping clients to be able to stay in their homes as well as the sense of relief that is offered to family members in knowing that their loved ones are being cared for. She currently works part-time for ComForCare and has taken on the role of a full-time family caregiver to her mother, who is currently living with dementia. She decided to take on the role after her time at ComForCare allowed her to see how older adults can benefit from being able to stay in their homes. The experience and knowledge she gained through the training that is offered to our caregivers as well as getting to know the clients and their needs has helped her on this new journey. Although she is not in the office full-time, she says that ComForCare Austin will always be a very important part of her life.
