Our Story

Matt and Lauren met in San Angelo, TX, while setting the dinner table at Grandmother's house. For a couple of years, they chased each other across Texas, from San Angelo to College Station to Fort Worth to Corpus Christi. They married in 2004 and soon moved to the greater San Antonio and New Braunfels area. They now have two beautiful children and live in Cibolo.

Lauren is a Doctor of Physical Therapy actively practicing since 2008 from inpatient to outpatient and home health rehabilitation settings. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

Matt is a veteran of the United States Air Force where he started as an intelligence analyst and finished as a technical training instructor. After a successful career in the Air Force, Matt had a blast managing Air Force and international projects for Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), from software development to aircraft modifications and spacecraft. He left SNC as the director for enterprise project management after 10 wild years. Matt's heart always ached for something else; something even bigger; something that made a practical difference in the lives of others.

This is when Matt and Lauren realized their deep hearts for seniors and those of all ages with disabilities. Their niece has lissencephaly, a rare brain formation disorder that for years has proven over and over the need and importance for quality respite care. Their grandfather is legally blind from Macular Degeneration, and their great aunt had Alzheimer's Disease. Their other aunt is in the beginning stages of dementia. Their family is not alone. There are others. There will be so many others. and this is their cause.  This is why ComForCare Home Care.
