ComForcare Senior Services of Farmington Hills provides personalized at-home care
Kathy Blake - Oakland Press Staff Writer
Local "mom-trepreneur", Lisa Beaulieu, was recently able to fulfill her lifelong dream of owning her own business.
After spending 20 years of working in the finance industry, Beaulieu decided to make a major career change that would not only provide her with a sense of accomplishment and pride, but also allow her to spend more time with her two young children.
According to the annual report done by the Michigan Office of Services to the Aging, Michigan is home to almost 2 million people over the age of 60. Recognizing the need for senior care in her community, Beaulieu opened ComForcare Senior Services, a company that provides in-home care to seniors and anyone else in need of non-medical, at-home assistance. Hills woman follows her dream; opens a business to help senior adults
It's not much of a secret that women have been leaving the corporate world to strike out on their own and become the masters of their own business kingdoms.
Lisa Beaulieu of Farmington Hills is one of those women. "It's been a dream of mine to open a business."
The mother of two boys left her career as a finance director for a Tier 1 auto supplier to purchase part of an existing franchise with ComForcare Senior Services. That purchase included an existing book of business and territory that includes Farmington, Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield and Orchard Lake.
And that purchase also included being headquartered in the Grand Court Farmington Hils, 36550 Grand River Ave.
Despite long dreaming of owning a business, Beaulieu stayed in her corporate career for quite some time. "I knew it was a risk so I stayed in corporate America. But I wanted more flexibility for my family." To read more, click here.
