How experienced are your caregivers?
Our Home Care Aides have completed either a state-approved Personal Care Aide or Home Care Aide course and have at least six months' experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities). Every caregiver we employee receives specialized training as well.
Do your caregivers work at other jobs besides working at your home care agency?
We employ both full-time and part-time caregivers. Our part-time caregivers may have employment elsewhere in the area.
Do your caregivers have experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia?
Yes! All of our caregivers in the Sherman Oaks, Chatsworth, and Northridge areas have been trained through ComForCare's industry-leading DementiaWise® program. DementiaWise is recognized by the Alzheimer's Association® for incorporating the evidence-based Dementia Care Practice. Do your caregivers speak English?
Yes, all of our caregivers at ComForCare Home Care (San Fernando Valley, CA) are fluent in English.
Do your caregivers drive or assist with transportation services?
As part of our home care services in San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas, our caregivers are available to assist with transportation to-and-from doctor appointments and running errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions. For clients that require transitions of care services, our licensed caregivers are available to assist in bringing clients home after they have been discharged from the hospital or another care facility.

What COVID-19 protocols do you have in place?
Your safety is our greatest priority. Our home care agency is following updates and procedures from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the State Department of Health, local and county authorities, the Home Care Association of America, as well as other relevant agencies and resources. In addition, we have a screening tool for caregivers to assess their health before going into a client's home. For our clients who live in facilities, such as a nursing home, we will work closely with the facility on any protocols or guidelines that are in place.
Does your home care agency have insurance?
