Meet the Owners of ComForCare in Metairie, LA
Get to know the people that bring in-home care services to Slidell and the surrounding areas
Lori Ann Franzo, CSA
I was born in Queens, New York and grew up in Long Island. I moved from the Big Apple to the deep South and have lived in Slidell, LA for more than 38 years. Providing necessary help to seniors and people in need has been a driving force in my life. I’ve been in the medical business for more than 17 years.
I had been volunteering at a senior center and caring for family members for years helping to make life easier for people. In this time, I heard horror stories of in-home care that pushed me to action. I knew I could do better.
I began exploring many companies and finally choose ComForCare. With this organization, I felt like the people were down-to-Earth people that wanted to make a real difference. In 2003, I became the owner of ComForCare Slidell. I started an organization in 2005 to work to end elder abuse. I am also on the Advisory Board for COAST and a member of Leadership Slidell.
After hours, I enjoy cooking (especially Italian food), gardening, plus entertaining family and friends.
Patrice M. Vest, PTA
I am the proud owner of ComForCare Metairie and have been since 2004. I’ve made Slidell, LA my home since 1996 and have loved the welcoming community here. I am deeply invested in providing needed care for people who could use some help. I have been in the care industry for more than 25 years. I have worked with seniors and other people in need in both in-home and hospital settings as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Helping people live their best life despite having limitations is an important part of my life. Whether you need medical assistance or just an extra hand to make life a little easier, I want to make independent living a reality for you.
When I go home, I like to golf, fish, grill, and entertain my family and friends.
United by a Common Problem to Meet the In-Home Care Needs of Our Community
In 2003, tragedy struck. Hurricane Katrina struck the area and changed everything. Responding to these changes, we decided to join our forces to help our larger community of the greater New Orleans area while still supporting the specific locations in Slidell and Metairie. In 2006, we reopened ready to provide the in-home care we’d always wanted to see in the medical industry. The impact we have on families makes all the difference to us.
Whether your loved one needs assistance only a few hours a week or around-the-clock, our team is happy to help! Call (504) 833-7726 to learn more about the transition care services offered through ComForCare Home Care (Metairie, LA).
