Meet the Dedicated Senior Care Team at ComForCare Cape Cod
Dan Schreiner - Owner
Dan Schreiner is the Owner of ComForCare, Home Care – Cape & South Coast, spanning from the tip of Provincetown through Plymouth to the Rhode Island boarder of Massachusetts. He’s also the Founder and Managing Director of Equality Senior Living, a national company providing guidance to LGBT seniors in finding safe, supporting senior living communities.
Prior to moving to Cape Cod, Dan was a member of the Senior Executive Service and served as the single federal Medicare Beneficiary Ombudsman with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services under both the Bush and the Obama Administrations, where he made recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services and Congress on improvements in the program now serving more than 60 million Americans. He has his Master’s from the School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University.
Dan lives in Truro, MA and is involved in many organizations on the outer Cape, including serving as the Chair for the Counsel on Aging in Truro.
Apryl Shenk - Administrative Assistant
Apryl has lived on Cape Cod most of her life and has generations of family here. She has raised her two daughters here, which are now adults and remain in the community. She has been a longtime resident of Truro, along with her husband and two dogs, enjoying the country life.
Apryl has served the community in a wide range of positions, most recently as a chef in a nursing home, as a board member of the Truro COA, and now as the Administrative Assistant for ComForCare Home Care Cape & South Coast. “I love to see people thrive, so if I can help them do that, it makes me very happy.”
Alexis Stringham - Marketing and Care Coordinator
Alexis is the Marketing and Care Coordinator for ComForCare in the Plymouth County area. She got into elder care when her mother in law fell down the stairs and suddenly needed twenty four hour care. She went from fully independent to paralyzed from the neck down, and during that time Alexis learned how difficult life at home can be when there is little to no support network to help caregivers and those that need them. So she is passionate about providing excellent care to seniors to help people feel supported, and to help them maintain their dignity and allow them to age in place where they want to be.
Jenny Greene - Office Manager
Jenny Greene is the Office Manager of ComForCare South Coast. She has an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, which she uses to ensure that operations run smoothly, allowing the team to focus on their mission of delivering high-quality care services to clients and their families.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys exploring her creativity through painting, crafts, and cooking. She loves to hike, read, and spend time with her family and dogs, Buddy Love and Jack.
Whether your loved one needs assistance only a few hours a week or around-the-clock, our team is happy to help! Call (508) 209-5714 to learn more about the transition care services offered through ComForCare Home Care (Cape Cod, MA).
