My Passion for This Business (WHY) 

This is a family operated business that I have the pleasure of managing day to day. My parents started this ComForCare location, and my husband and I took over as the owners and operators in 2022. Home care and supporting older adults have always been passions of mine. I’ve always had compassion to help people, and the 20 years of experience I’ve had in health care have taught me that there is nothing more important than the one-on-one care we are able to offer as a home care agency. I’ve seen the impact of relationships that are formed between caregiver and client, and I strive to drive those meaningful connections that are vital to keeping older adults stronger for a longer, more meaningful period of time.

Experience

I started my health care experience while in high school. This led me to various roles in assisted living, hospitals, nursing homes and even becoming a licensed EMT working for emergency and ambulance services. These roles taught me how to handle emergency situations and how to best manage care from an operational perspective. I am able to meet the unique needs of clients we support while ensuring the right structure and caregivers are matched to set up individuals for success and improved health and well-being. There is a fine balance between honoring someone’s unique needs and putting a structure in place so we can execute expectations. The years of experience I have certainly allow me to provide our team, families, and clients with the right approach that leads to positive experiences. We certainly take a patient-centered care approach which requires that everyone is working together for one common goal: to help our clients live their best lives possible.   

What You Can Expect

It is important to me and my staff that our clients feel there is transparency. As an owner, I’m involved in oversight of care and also personally getting to know each and every one of my clients and their families. It is an honor for me to be the first point of contact. I then introduce them to our RN (who is also my mother), so that we are able to work together with our clients to identify their goals for home care. We consider each care request from clients and their families in conjunction with our clinical experience to make informed suggestions and ensure that they understand all of their choices. We also help coordinate any additional resources they may need. Further, I personally introduce every new caregiver to clients on their first shift. It is important to me that we start every case off on the right foot and clients know that we all work together as a team.
