In the Crown
When Creve Coeur resident Shawn Rimerman delivers fresh dinners as part of the Crown's kosher meal program, he can't help but think of his family's deep connection to the organization. His aunt loved the many years she lived at Crown and his wife's aunt was a resident as well. 2014 Unsung Heroes
The St. Louis Jewish Light honored its 2014 class of Unsung Heroes on Wednesday, May 21 at the Jewish Community Center. This years's Unsung Heroes are: Sandy Jaffe, Sam Klein, Kathy Lebedun, Marvin Beckerman, Dr. Robert and Judy Hellman, Buddy Lebman, Neil Marglous, Myra Rosenthal, Toddy Goldman and the Crown Center Kosher Meal Home Delivery Volunterrs (Marilyn and Saul Dien, Larry Harris, Lois Lefton, Shawn Rimerman, Lauren Sagel, Allan and Lisa Silverberg, Gloria Spitzer and Lana Yunker. This year's Unsung Heroes co-chairs were Jan Baron, Milton Movitz and Faith Berger.

From a seventh-grade philanthropic entrepreneur to a 90-year old High Holiday service leader, this year's Unsung Heroes line up has someone to fit every flavor of volunteerism as it highlights those whose vital contributions have flown under the radar for too long.
Eight individuals, one couple and one group will be recognized this year as part of the St. Louis Jewish Light initiative begun in 2010 to spotlight people who give generously of their time.
