Johnny & Heather Vermillion, Owner of ComForCare Cuyahoga County
Over 40 years of healthcare experience!
Heather and Johnny Vermillion were pleased and honored when Deborah came to them in late April of 2023 with the prospect of taking on the Strongsville office, allowing her and John Sr. to retire.
In 2008, Deborah Vermillion opened a new franchise of ComForCare Home Care Services on Prospect Road in Strongsville, Ohio. She was fueled by her passion for providing round the clock care assistance with activities of daily living for seniors and homebound individuals of all ages throughout Western Cuyahoga County and the surrounding area.
Deborah’s husband, John Sr., joined her shortly after to support his wife’s passion and in 2013, her son Johnny Vermillion followed, joining her growing team, focusing on marketing, then later taking on the title of billing and payroll specialist. During this time, he was attending college and graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences in 2015 and went on to obtain his master’s degree in food and nutrition from Bowling Green State University in 2018. He is now a Registered Dietitian.
Heather Vermillion started working at ComForCare in January of 2015 as a Licensed Practical Nurse/ Manager of Care services and over the years learned a lot about the home care industry, while taking part-time courses to obtain her RN degree. With 19 years of nursing experience in Home Health Care, Geriatric Home Care, and acute rehabilitation nursing, she graduated with her ADN in 2020, from Lorain County Community College and continued to grow with the agency obtaining ACHC accreditation in 2022.
The opportunity to build upon something they both had worked so passionately for over the years just made sense. It was not long after Deborah's offer that the transitions into ownership started and the next generation of Vermillion’s officially became the new owners of the Western Cuyahoga ComForCare office in January of 2024.
“It is in our hearts to continue delivering exceptional care to clients and cultivate a desirable work experience for employees. With onsite training, educational support, and growth opportunities we can only hope to offer the same prospects we experienced during our own journeys in this industry to our diverse team of caregivers. It is our belief that in doing so we will foster an exceptional experience for both clients and staff.”
