What Makes Us Different
At ComForCare New Braunfels, when we meet with clients and their families for the first time, we strive to understand them on a deeper level. We want to know what is most important to them. We want to know what their concerns are. We want to know where they are right now, mentally and physically. When we have that information, we can provide care that is tailored to their goals and desires.
We know that to provide high quality home care services to the families we work with, we must hire the most qualified individuals to be part of our team. We take pride in the caregivers we select. Our rigorous 10-step hiring process ensures they meet our standards for excellence. Each one of our professional caregivers is experienced and highly trained on in-home care’s best practices. We provide our caregivers with continuing education to ensure the most up-to-date care techniques are used when caring for our clients.
In order to develop strong, trusting relationships between clients and caregivers, we carefully match clients with caregivers whose interests, life experiences and personalities complement their own. Before we select caregivers, we meet with clients, take note of their personality, and speak with them about their background, all of which helps us select the most compatible caregiver for them.
We are also proud of our ComForCare New Braunfels office team:
Owners - Chad & Andrea Otte
Chad Otte – Owner / Administrator
Chad is the franchise owner of ComForCare Home Care New Braunfels. He has an abundance of business experience that enables him to build an environment and work culture that ensures quality service. He had over twenty years of corporate sales experience with the Kellogg Company, most recently as their Senior Director of Sales for the Western Region. Chad worked both in field sales and at headquarters, responsible for account management, innovation, sales strategy/planning, and sales management.
He also served in the US Army on active duty and in the National Guard while working for Kellogg. He began his Army career in 1991 as an Ammunition Specialist and progressed through the ranks, retiring as a Battalion Command Sergeant Major in 2011. Chad served overseas in Germany and Iraq. He earned the Bronze Star for his service during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Chad holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Dakota and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He grew up in Kansas and North Dakota but has enjoyed calling Texas home for more than 10 years. He enjoys the outdoors, practicing yoga, and being involved with his kids’ activities. Chad currently resides in New Braunfels with his wife, Andrea, and their three children.
Andrea Otte – Owner / Director of Operations
Prior to owning the ComForCare New Braunfels franchise with Chad, Andrea worked for fifteen years in client/vendor relations for a third-party benefit administrator before leaving the workforce to raise her family. Over the years, she has taken on multiple volunteering roles with various non-profit organizations, including with Junior League, Greenville Literacy Association, RESOLVE, Prevent Blindness Texas, Chosen Care, TexasPTA, Meals on Wheels and Comal County Senior Citizens Foundation. In March 2021, Andrea started Fleur Foundation, a fund that provides grants to non-profits addressing food insecurity, homelessness, and lack of health care.
She learned firsthand about caregiving when her first husband lost his battle with colon cancer. Helping him through this transition was a huge undertaking for a mother with young children. She hired loving caregivers to assist during this time and directly felt the impact of their care and support.
Andrea earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Texas at Austin and her Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago. She grew up in Chicago but has lived in New Braunfels for the past decade with Chad and their three children. Andrea enjoys cooking, cross-stitch and walking the equivalent of a 5K a couple of times a week.

She and her husband, a USAF veteran, live in Cibolo, TX and are the proud parents of two sons and a daughter. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family, including her six grandchildren. When she has a moment to herself, Evie loves to read.
Safe, Known, Loved
Everyone on our team wears a bracelet that says three simple words: Safe, Known, Loved. These three important words are a reminder of our promise to both office employees and our caregivers. We, as owners, wear the bracelets as a symbol of our commitment to our staff.
- We promise we will keep them Safe.
- We will Know them and recognize their contributions.
- We will Love them for all the energy and love they bring to our clients.
Our caregivers wear their bracelets as a promise to our clients. They will keep them safe when they are in their care. They will honor them and listen to them when they are present in their homes. And they will love and care for them with compassion, as if they were family. We believe everyone wants these three things, and we are committed to providing these basic needs to our clients and our caregivers.
