Benefits of In-Home Care
Companion Care
Studies have shown that older adults who reside independently at home may eventually experience isolation due to physical or cognitive limitations. Companionship helps to combat isolation and depression. We provide care through which companions not only assist with light housekeeping, appointments, medication reminders, and grocery shopping, but also engage in meaningful human connection, reminiscing about fond memories and sometimes just being that listening ear for someone to talk to. Desire to socialize is a very basic need, and supporting that need is our top priority.
Personal Care
When you look better, you feel better! A healthy personal care regime plays a very important role in maintaining dignity and promoting positive feelings of self. Our personal care services are an extension of the basic duties of companion care. In addition to companionship, we assist with grooming, dressing, bathing/showering, toileting, and oral hygiene. All seniors are different, and their personal care needs are different. We perform personal care with sensitivity and dignity so all seniors can enjoy a quality of life with higher self-esteem.
Family Respite
The American Association of Retired Persons states that more than 50 million adults in the United States provide unpaid care for their loved ones over the age of 50. Being a caregiver for a loved one can be incredibly rewarding, but at the same time, a consuming responsibility. We provide respite care for family caregivers ranging from a few hours a day to even 24 hours a day seven days a week. We allow families to have a more balanced life. It is natural for family caregivers to experience feelings of guilt and loss of control, but we work with families one-on-one to help set up the care that works best for their loved ones.
